Parenting in a Digital Age: Helping Our Kids Navigate Anxiety, Depression and Social Media
Parenting today feels harder than ever, with rising anxiety, depression, and the overwhelming influence of social media shaping our kids' mental health and identity. How do we help them build resilience, find real belonging, and navigate a world that often pulls them away from true connection?
Join us for an insightful conversation on the impact of digital culture, the power of embodied relationships, and practical, faith-based strategies to create a healthier, more connected family life. Together, we’ll explore how to be a safe harbor for our kids, set wise boundaries, and model the kind of life we hope they will embrace. Join us for this special FREE event!

Jamie Roach, LPC
Jamie has served on the staff of nonprofit youth organization, Youthfront, Inc. for 35 years working with young people and their families. He is also a former pastor, spiritual director, communicator, and author.
Jamie received his Master’s of Divinity from Nazarene Theological Seminary and his Master’s of Arts in Counseling from Mid America Nazarene University. He works from psychodynamic and experiential theories and from the perspective that humans are relational beings. Jamie’s approach is driven by his belief that whole personhood happens through relationships, which is why loneliness is so damaging and why the presence of a loving other is so healing.
Jamie’s experience working with youth and families has taught him that within the careful presence of a loving other, one’s true self begins to emerge. In addition to his professional career, Jamie and his wife, Lea Ann, have raised four children and are proud grandparents.Â
Youthfront’s “Presence-Centered Parenting and Caregiving Initiative”, funded by a Lilly Endowment Inc. grant through its Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative, is focused on helping parents and families actively engage in the Christian formation of their children.
