“Children have never been very good at listening to their elders but they have never failed to imitate them.”   –   James Baldwin

Ever feel like you’re on a roller coaster with your kids? The truth is that most parents do. We make hundreds of decisions a day about how much freedom to give our kids, when to insert ourselves, and when to let them fail or make a mistake. Join us to hear the research on Christian formation and parenting, and why who we are is more important than what we say as parents. In our conversation, we’ll explore the concept of presence-centered parenting and talk about tips and practical ways to connect with God, ourselves, and our kids’ hearts. This session, led by Youthfront’s Jamie Roach, is free and designed for both parents and grandparents of children elementary age through high school.

ABOUT JAMIE ROACH:  Jamie has served on the staff of Youthfront for 33 years, working with students, parents and youth workers. His passion is seeing people formed into the image of Jesus Christ.  Jamie is an author, communicator and spiritual director.  He received his Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling. Jamie loves Nebraska football, reading and hanging out with his family.  Jamie and his wife Lea Ann have four children, Megan (28),  Haley (26), Logan (23) and Sophie (20).
