YF Neighborhood offers hands-on ways to make life better for all our neighbors. A key component of that is fighting food insecurity. Many of our neighbors struggle with having enough to eat. More than a decade ago, Youthfront’s Something to Eat™ program began as a way for youth to fight hunger in a hands-on way and learn about the issues of food insecurity. Today, millions of meals later, Something to Eat™ continues to provide tangible ways for kids and their families to help those facing hunger.
In addition to Something To Eat™, families, grandparents and individuals volunteer monthly at the Franklin Center Food Distribution event in Kansas City, Kansas. Yet another way to help fill a community need and partner with our neighbors.
We are always looking for help at packing parties or at our monthly distribution event and volunteering in this capacity is a tangible way to lend a hand to your neighbor in need. Thank you!
