What Youthfront Means To Me

Youthfront to me has meant a fun, faith-filled place to serve the Lord alongside some of my best friends. I love the Jesus-centered culture that is fostered at Youthfront and the way it makes service fun. Some of my favorite memories of my life have been made at camp, and I am so grateful for the opportunities it has given me over the last three years to grow in my relationships, both with God and with my friends.

What Am I Fundraising For

The Croc Missional Journey is a missions trip to Croc, Mexico, a small village on the outskirts of Monterrey. The Youthfront organization has had a presence in the Croc community for 20 years, in the form of a local church partnership and the administration of an after-school program for kids in the community. Each year, a group of students drives down to Croc to experience the culture in Mexico and grow in their faith through those experiences. We also take part in work projects to benefit the community: last year, we helped to construct a brick platform for a new playground at the after-school program and leveled the front yard of one of the church workers. I am very glad for the work projects, as they give me and others a chance to give a little back to the incredible community that gives so much to us over the course of a week in the form of hospitality, food, and time. Please consider partnering with me in my ministry by supporting me financially for the Croc Missional Journey in 2020.

When I went on the Croc missional journey last spring, it was a life-changing experience. I got to meet dozens of incredible people from a culture that is far different from mine, including an 9-year old boy named Daniel. Daniel is kind of a troublemaker, but is incredibly friendly and a great soccer player. I am very excited to see him again, along with the others that I had the pleasure of meeting. I have also been learning Spanish for another year (this is my fourth) and I have made a lot of progress that I am excited to use to communicate in Mexico.
