Presented by Caroline Oas

April 2, 2020    6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Online presentation via Zoom

Do you have a teen or pre-teen that struggles with anxiety, sadness or depression? Are current circumstances causing excessive fear or anxiety in your child? If so, make plans to join us online for a special session hosted on Zoom.

Mental health struggles in adolescents have been on the rise in recent years. While students might post on social media and talk in their schools, there is still a “stigma” within our churches and families when it comes to talking about mental health.

Join Youthfront’s Jamie Roach and Caroline Oas, counselor and youth pastor, as they cover how to have the hard conversations with your children and respect their stories. We’ll also discuss how to respond if you see signs of serious mental health issues in a teen – what to say, who to call, what steps to follow. You’ll leave with important resources for your family!

New to Zoom? No problem! Zoom is an easy-to-use service for video conferencing and is totally free to you as the participant. You can attend remotely from your desktop computer or through the Zoom app on your mobile device. Registrants will receive an email prior to the event with detailed instructions for joining the conference.
