Yes, Teen Staffing counts toward community service hours. This experience is similar to a mission trip with built-in community service volunteer roles as well as community time and spiritual formation. To receive volunteer hour credit, bring any necessary paperwork with you to camp and the supervisors will complete them prior to your camp departure. You will be eligible for up to 50 hours for a week of service at camp.

Please submit community service hour confirmation requests to teenstaff@youthfront.com.

Transportation to and from camp is your responsibility. This needs to be arranged before you come to camp.

Arrival times to camp vary depending on the camp session. You will be added to a communication for your session, and a Teen Staff Director will let you know what time that you need to be at camp for your scheduled week(s). Most overnight camp sessions begin on Monday mornings and end on Friday evenings. Arriving early is not permitted.

Teen Staff guys and gals each have their own assigned quarters at camp. This is bunk-style housing under the Chapel.  It is your responsibility to keep the area neat and clean. We adhere to our Child Protection Policy with two adults supervising each living area.

Teen Staff is one of the best communities for making new friends that last a lifetime. Many of our Teen Staff come for the first time not knowing others, and leave having made important relationships. Our Teen Staff Supervisors and Camp staff work hard to ensure time for community and relationship building, and also provide an orientation for newcomers at the beginning of each session.

You will receive that information from your Teen Staff Director ahead of your session. Most overnight camp sessions begin on Monday mornings and end on Friday evenings. Do not plan to leave early unless your absence is pre-approved by your Teen Staff Director. We need you the whole week!

Teen Staff volunteer in a wide variety of roles, from behind the scenes helping camp run smoothly to working with campers and giving them a great experience!
