Hello! I am Jason. I have lived in the Kansas City area for most of my life and currently live in Gardner, KS. I have been involved with Youthfront since I was in middle school. I attended and volunteered at summer camp, worked backstage during weekend events, and eventually joined the program staff full time out of college. In 2005, God used the corporate world to give me skill sets in logistics, hospitality, and insurance sales and service. In 2017, God called me back to full time ministry at Grace Church in Overland Park, KS and eventually back to student ministry at Youthfront. My life experiences have given me well rounded tools to best serve Him.
Meet My Family
Jen
Jen and I met a little more than 20 years ago at Youthfront Camp LaCygne. At the time she was a cabin leader and I was the head lifeguard at camp. God has given us the opportunity to go back to our roots! Jen enjoys adventures with our family, travel, art and reading and is passionate about serving children in foster care.
Avonte
Avonte is our oldest and he’s ready to take on the world! When he is not hanging out with his friends, he is playing tennis, hanging out with his dog or online playing his favorite video game.
Addison
Addison is our youngest. Her dream is to become a surgeon one day! She loves music, hanging out with friends, playing basketball, the upright bass, theater, and is a very creative artist.
My Story
God has really given me a heart and a passion for student ministry. I remember several times that I would hear stories from cabin and student leaders about numerous decisions and life changes that students made at camp. Your teenage years are a big part of your life. You are making a lot of big decisions that will affect your adult life down the road. I want to provide an opportunity for students to hear about Jesus and how he is the ultimate life coach!
My Ministry
As the Facility Manager at Youthfront Camp West, my goal is to help students develop a deeper relationship with Jesus while providing a safe, fun, and comfortable environment. Summer camp is something that everyone should have the opportunity to experience. It is one of the only places where you can step away from the daily pressures of life and just better yourself as a person. I want to be used by God to provide that place for growth and of course, fun!
In the off-season, Youthfront Camp West becomes a retreat center where I will provide a place where area churches can host retreats and pastor get-aways. I will also work with other Youthfront staff to support any facility or operations needs they may need as they develop the programming for the next summer camp season.
Will you consider partnering with us?
One of the advantages of my role at Youthfront is the necessity to invite other people to share our journey (both giving and receiving). We are looking for people willing to partner with us by sharing lives together, praying for one another, and financially supporting our ministry. Would you pray about being a partner with us in our mission to bring students into a growing relationship with Jesus? Thank you for your consideration.
