Play As Freedom

Unstructured play that builds creativity and social-emotional skills.

Presence As Connection

Caring adult mentors and consistent volunteers.

Learning As Wonder

Tutoring and enrichment that reframe learning as discovery.

This holistic support creates a foundation for stronger adolescent outcomes — increasing stability, literacy, and confidence. With a 75% weekly homework completion rate and growing participation, the Academy is helping rewrite the narrative for kids in Argentine — not just reacting to crises, but building belonging from the start.

We meet multiple times during the school week and need volunteers for each activity.

  • Tuesday and Thursdays from 4:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. as a Volunteer Tutor for students, either one-on-one or in a small group of 2-3 students.
  • Wednesdays from 1:30 p.m.-4:00 p.m. as a Chaperone when we go on field trip adventures.
  • 4:00 p.m.-5:15 p.m. to help when we get back from various activities such as, art projects, games, etc.

  • As a Volunteer Tutor you will help students with math and reading skills. You will also spend time getting to know them and playing games together. We encourage you to come at 3:30 p.m., if possible, to hang out with students during snack and play time.
  • As a Volunteer Chaperone, you will help during our various field trip adventures, these can include, hiking, going to the park, swimming, bowling, the zoo, etc.

Volunteers need to commit to coming once a week or a minimum of twice monthly. This allows for meaningful mentoring time and the opportunity to build trusted relationships with students in the program.

We typically expect between 20-30 kids each day. We currently have a waiting list of children so the more volunteers we get, the more kids we can welcome into the program!

Please contact us! We are happy to answer your questions and give you more information, if needed.
