Talking with kids about the Bible can feel like a challenge. Where do you start? How much do you say? And how do you help children engage with a book that is beautiful, complex, and sometimes hard to understand?
Join us as we welcome Woven author Meredith Miller back to Kansas City, where she’ll offer two evenings for parents and a special workshop for Children’s Pastors. Meredith’s new book, Wonder: 52 Conversations to Help Kids Fall in Love With Scripture, offers creative Bible storytelling for kids, key contextual information for adults, and fun and engaging conversation prompts for families.
Gain simple, repeatable strategies you can use with any Bible story – and leave with tools to feel equipped for conversations at home. Together, we’ll explore real questions from kids and parents, practice telling stories in engaging and age appropriate ways, and build skills that help our children fall in love with scripture.
Meredith Miller is Lead Pastor of Pomona Valley Church, a parent, and writer who helps grownups, and the kids they love, engage with the Bible and faith in ways that are life-giving, fun, and a fit for their real lives.
Her 20+ years in family ministry for local churches, curriculum development and faith formation research inform the resources she currently creates, including her books: Wonder: 52 Conversations to Help Kids Fall In Love with Scripture and Woven: Nurturing a Faith Your Kid Doesn’t Have To Heal From.
Youthfront’s “Presence-Centered Parenting and Caregiving Initiative”, funded by a Lilly Endowment Inc. grant through its Christian Parenting and Caregiving Initiative, is focused on helping parents and families actively engage in the Christian formation of their children.
