SOMETHING TO EAT

YF Neighborhood offers tangible ways to help neighbors in need. Our Something To Eat food packing program was created to help fight food insecurity by providing shelf-stable and nutritious meals to our local food pantries and communities.

Our City-Wide Meal Packing Event Was A Success!

Thank You to everyone who made our Something To Eat™ KC Food Packing Event on February 28th a success! Because of your help we were able to pack 55,102 meals for families and children facing hunger in Kansas City. Our partnership with Harvesters makes it possible to distribute these meals through their trusted network of food pantries and organizations in the Kansas City area.

Monthly Food Distribution

Through a partnership with Harvesters, Something to Eat™ provides fresh and shelf-stable food to neighbors in Kansas City, Kansas. Each month, volunteers help sort, pack, and distribute food for more than 350 households facing food insecurity. The event happens on the second Wednesday of every month from 1:00–4:15 p.m. at the Franklin Center in Kansas City, KS.

This is a hands-on volunteer opportunity for all ages — families, small groups, and individuals are welcome. Our Youthfront Grandparent Ministry plays a key role in serving alongside us each month. Come help fight hunger and strengthen community through presence and service.

"Here was an opportunity to do something great for the community, great for my grandson, and to do it together."
