SOMETHING TO EATâ„¢ MONTHLY FOOD DISTRIBUTION

Youthfront Neighborhood provides tangible ways to serve neighbors in need by fighting food insecurity in Kansas City. With 1 in 6 children facing hunger, you can make a difference by joining us each month to pack meals for local families.

Serving Our Neighbors

Through a partnership with Harvesters Community Food Network, volunteers help distribute fresh and shelf-stable foods each month to our neighbors facing food insecurity. Children, grandparents and individuals work side-by-side organizing, packing and loading food into cars in a streamlined, orderly process. Serving at our monthly food distribution is an active way to love and serve our neighbors.

FAQS

Yes! We welcome families and children to  be part of the experience. There are many tasks that small hands can help with!

We hold our monthly distribution rain or shine unless we are under a severe weather threat. If we do need to cancel, we will notify all volunteers ahead of time.

On average, we provide food to approximately 350+ households and distribute 50 pounds of food, per family, each month at our food distribution event.

It rarely happens but we distribute any leftover food to local food pantries.
