Meredith Miller Parent Event
Talking with kids about the Bible can feel like a challenge. Where do you start? How much do you say? And how do you help children engage with a book that is beautiful, complex, and sometimes hard to understand?
Join us as we welcome Woven author Meredith Miller back to Kansas City, where she’ll share simple, repeatable strategies you can use with any Bible story. Learn more about Meredith's new book Wonder and how to register for this free event.
Sort, package and hand out fresh fruits and vegetables to neighbors in need at the Franklin Center in Kansas City, KS, from 1-4 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month. You can serve for a two-hour block or the entire time. All ages!
Stay connected to the initiative by signing up for the monthly YF Family email newsletter and by downloading the Youthfront App, available for free in the App Store or Google Play.
Through this initiative, we are happy to offer these free resources to families and churches.
FAMILY LENT GUIDE
In the Western Church, Lent begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Easter Sunday. It's a reflection on the life of Jesus, his death and resurrection, and also prepares us for the joy of Easter.
Our hope over the six weeks of Lent, is that by the end, you and your family will have gained meaningful conversations and memories, as well as a deeper understanding of God’s profound love for you.
Throughout time, Advent has come to be represented by four key elements of the Christian life: Hope, Peace, Joy, and Love.
Our hope with this Family Advent Guide is for you to create new memories through a practice of presence this Advent season. We invite you to use this guide in your family Advent experience.
